Climate Networks
The Our Network & Hub Network pages help to understand how the we, alongside our wider colleagues and communities can support communities to take climate action. It’s important to highlight the other significant networks which we encourage members to participate in too.
These networks provide a valuable resource for connecting with individuals and organisations that possess the knowledge and expertise to assist with the development of your own climate action projects. The following networks are available to aid you on this journey.

SCCAN: Scottish Communities Climate Action Network grew out of work initiated in 2010 looking at what was holding communities back from taking action on climate change. SCCAN is a volunteer-led network with membership open to any community group across Scotland that is taking action on the climate crisis and to any organisation that is involved with or supports such community-led action.
Future Communities: A network of groups involved in climate and environmental projects in the Highlands and Islands. They meet once per month to discuss, coordinate and collaborate on their activities.
Highland Good Food Partnership: They are developing a Highland-wide Food Partnership to support, facilitate and enable the push forward to a sustainable food system.
Circular Communities Scotland: Empowering a national network of reuse, repair and recycling charities in two ways: Representing their membership and the sector to a wide range of stakeholders & Supporting their membership and facilitating the growth of the sector in Scotland. As well as supporting and representing members, Circular Communities Scotland are also involved in projects and programmes to support the third sector, in pursuit of zero waste.
Highland Adapts: Highland Adapts brings our communities, businesses, land managers and public sector together to facilitate transformational action towards a prosperous, climate-ready Highland
Hubbub Community Fridge Network: Reducing food waste and empowering communities. A Community Fridge is a space that brings people together to eat, connect, learn new skills and reduce food waste. It is a site where local people can share food, this includes surplus from supermarkets, local food businesses, producers, households and gardens. Fridges are run by community groups in shared spaces such as schools, community centres and shops, their main purpose is saving fresh food from going to waste.
