The following toolkits are available to assist in the creation of a climate action plan, as well as providing a detailed mapping of the region to identify key areas of need and evaluate and help to look at the effectiveness of environmental behavior change interventions within the community.

The Place Standard with a Climate Lens
The Place Standard with a Climate Lens provides a comprehensive framework for facilitating productive dialogues focusing on the interplay between climate and place. By incorporating the Climate Lens into Place Standard sessions, stakeholders can explore how large-scale trends such as climate change and decarbonisation may affect a given area. This user-friendly system mirrors the same comprehensive approach of the core Place Standard model.
This collaboration draws on the expertise of a range of partners to bring a comprehensive and holistic approach to developing climate action plans.

Parish Online
Community Map Scotland is a software project to help your community build a Local Place Plan. It enables users to create their own maps, tailor them to their needs, and share and communicate their results with decision-makers. This will help community groups to make evidence-based decisions and influence the future of their local area.
Parish Online has been adapted from its usage in England and Wales and will be especially useful for creating Local Place Plans, which are a legislative mechanism that enables communities to have their views considered for councils’ Local Development Plans. It contains many datasets about the environment, pollution, planning, transport and community features.

Influencing Behaviours
Individual, Social, Material (ISM) Scottish Government
ISM is a practical tool that has been developed from a sound conceptual model and refined through research and live projects. The ISM tool has grown out of Southerton et al's (2011) International Review of Behaviour Change Initiatives where the Individual, Social and Material contexts were used to examine the effectiveness of environmental behaviour change interventions.
Can support Climate Action in Climate Conversation type events and community consultation can be used.
