What is the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival?
The Highland & Islands Climate Festival is a celebration of localism and community engagement with a focus on climate action. The event is held annually during September. The festival features a diverse range of fun and informative events, including active travel, repair cafes, growing open days, film screenings, talks, and competitions. The festival aims to bring people together across the region, both in person and online, to inspire action against climate change.
Event funding for Community Groups is now open! Open from 24th April - 31st May, Community Organisations in Highland, Orkney and Shetland can apply for £150 event contribution funding for events taking place with a climate theme from 1st - 30th September 2026.
