Paper Making workshop with Lin Chau

Stronsay Development Trust invite you to a paper making workshop with Lin Chau.

Multidisciplinary artist Lin Chau is bringing her paper making workshop to Stronsay with Orkney International Science Festival, exploring ways of producing paper using natural resources around us. All equipment will be provided, and materials as well, and you can feel free to bring along some dried flowers or seeds to add to your paper. A drop in session in Stronsay Development Trust's Community Greenhouse.

Community Beach Clean

Join Leah, Community Waste Management Officer, on a beach clean at the Bu Sands. Rubbish bags, litter-pickers, and resuable gloves will be provided. Bring warm clothes and waterproofs. Parents are responsible for their children while on the beach.

P.S. It's Leah's last day in the role so she would love to see you all there!

We're joined by staff from Stromness Museum who are bringing their pop-up exhibition and a metal letter stamping activity, where you'll get a metal jigsaw piece to take home.

Come along to listen to the presentation by Orkney-based author, Cal Flyn, and learn more about life in the post-human landscape - maybe, even get a copy of the book signed!
