Gail Anderton
Highland Council - Community Benefits Manager
Working in local government for 33 years, Gail has worked on many initiatives and projects over the years. Since moving to Scotland in 2007, her work has focused on welfare reform, particularly the implementation of Universal Credit from a housing perspective, the Highland Refugee Resettlement Programme, homelessness.
In 2002, she moved into the role of Community Benefits Manager, initially supporting the council around procurement activity, but now with an extended role to the renewable sector and a strategic lead for Community Wealth Building.
Gail and her team work alongside the wider Community Support and Engagement team, support colleagues, communities, businesses and work directly with renewable energy companies.
