World Ocean Day Big Beach Clean

  • Highland and Islands Wide (map)

In recent years, the Scottish Coastal Clean Up have helped coordinate the Big Beach Clean to help mark World Ocean Day on the 8th of June. Their first ever event involved community groups, schools, individuals and organisations coming together and beach cleaning along a 90-mile stretch of Coastline in South East Scotland.

With so many incredible individuals and groups beach cleaning all around Scotland, they welcome others who would like to join them this world Ocean Day and have created a Big beach Clean map sp we can highlight the areas getting involved.

If you’re hosting a Beach Clean beterrn 8th & 11th June, please do pop it on the map to show the volume of community climate action taking place across Scotland and help to show people the amount of events they could get involved with, meet new people and have a fun few hours.

You can drop a pin into the location of your beach clean and add any other details you might like to share (time, date, your group details, or website). If you would like us and/or Scottish Coastal Clean Up to share details of your beach cleans, please tag us in any relevant social media posts.
