Ulluminate Festival of Science, Arts and Culture

  • Ulluminate Festival of Science, Arts and Culture Ullapool, Scotland, IV26 United Kingdom (map)

Ulluminate is the first festival of science, arts and culture taking place in and around Ullapool and Lochbroom from 10-12 May 2024!

More than 20 community organisations are coming together to offer work experience to students through the Developing Young Workforce scheme. There is an amazing programme of science fair, writing and dance workshops, theatre, film, guided walks and talks - all enabling an exploration of our natural and man-made world. Something for all ages and abilities.

The weekend includes rare opportunities to catch:

  • When Mountains Meet: a gig-theatre show featuring the life story of Ullapool resident and fiddle player Anne Wood.

  • The Flock: A dance workshop with Scottish Dance Theatre dancers exploring bird movement during migration (ahead of a performance at Eden Court, Inverness, in September).

  • Scotland the Big Picture presents: Why Not Scotland? with a special guest panel-led discussion of issues.
