Nairn Community Flood Action

  • Seaman's Hall, Green Hive Community Hub Harbour Street Nairn, Scotland, IV12 4PY United Kingdom (map)

We are thrilled that a Community Resilience Manager from the Scottish Flood Forum will be visiting Nairn to discuss how individuals, organisations and property owners can protect themselves from Nairn’s flood risk.

Between 2pm-4pm, advice will be available on a drop in basis. Come along to share your flooding concerns with the Community Resilience Manager and get advice on the steps you can take to protect your home.

Between 4-6pm, the focus will turn to a collective community effort. The Scottish Flood Forum will share how Flood Action/Resilience Groups are implementing measures in communities to reduce the impact of flooding, and explain how Nairn could establish their own. Those in Nairn with an interest in identifying areas most at risk, influencing priorities and taking action on the flood risk are encouraged to attend.
