An event hosted by Hub members; Planet Sutherland
This is the 2nd in a series of carbon cafes with a focus on food. The first was in Lairg and the next one will be Dornoch, with others to follow.
Let's get together and talk about all things food. Whether you're a food business, a shop, a crofter/ farmer, or a gardener or just interested - and whether you love what you eat or don't - join us to share hints and tips and come up with ideas to improve our plates.
All sorts of things impact on our food: war, climate change, Brexit, cost of living, cost of food, energy crisis, pandemics - all making it more difficult for everyone to afford, or care about, healthy nutritious food.
There's lots we can do in our communities to work towards being less impacted by all the crises in the world.
From growing our own food to shopping locally to developing business and community food production systems that work for all - who knows what ideas we will come up with.
At the end our local discussions, we hope to produce a booklet or video to share all the hints and tips and ideas.
All welcome. Thanks to our local community councils for funding these carbon cafes.
