Community Buildings Fund online surgeries with Local Energy Scotland

Local Energy Scotland look forward to welcoming communities to their online surgeries on 18th May. These sessions take place via Zoom and are available from 2pm - 3pm or 6pm - 7pm.

Are you interested in decarbonising your community building and helping your community in the transition to net zero? Or are you already getting support from the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) Community Buildings Fund but have some questions or challenges?

The Let’s Do Net Zero Community Buildings Fund helps community organisations reduce their building energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions by installing renewable technologies such as heat pumps.

The fund is open and is planned to run until the end of March 2025, subject to funding availability.

At the surgeries you’ll have the opportunity to ask our development officers questions about:

  • the fund and who is eligible to apply

  • the application process including how to apply on the new online portal

  • any challenges you may be facing if you’ve already started your CARES supported project.

Please note: the online surgeries will be held on Zoom.

You won’t need to stay for the whole session – you can pop in to find out more and leave once you’ve had your questions answered. While the surgeries are focused on decarbonising community buildings, you are welcome to ask questions about Local Energy Scotland support for other local energy projects.

How to book

Book your space by emailing info@localenergy.scot.

Please write ‘May Community Buildings surgery’ in the subject line of your email. Please also specify whether you’ll attend the 2pm session or the 6pm session.

They’ll send you out the Zoom links for both sessions on Wednesday 17 May so that you can attend either session if your plans change on the day. Please remember to check your junk/spam folder if you think you’ve not received the links.
