Highland Climate Conference
Community Contributions
The Highland Climate Conference 2025 gives the opportunity for individuals from all sectors, organisations and most importantly communities to come together. In the past nearly 4 years of being out and about in communities across Highland the key issues we see being raised over and over again by our members is the need for the community sector and communities to be recognised as more than a throwaway or tick the box exercise when it comes to the future of our region. None more so is this apparent when it comes to the issues that many of our communities are facing in tackling climate change.
From food security, fuel poverty, energy transition, making our communities safer places to be, transport, homes, bio diversity and protecting our communities from the already changing climate in terms of flood, drought, health, wellbeing and connectivity as the community sector we can only do so much. We need equal partnership with the public and private sector with visibility of the ongoing work.
We are therefore inviting you to share your work through answering on video a series of short questions. The video footage will be edited to form a tapestry of community voices across Highland with the Communities of Highland being the keynote speaker at the Highland Climate Conference 2025.
On this page you will find a special welcome from myself and all the instructions you need to record and submit your video to us.
