Community Resilience Stress Testing Model Pilot

The Highlands & Islands Climate Hub is looking to pilot a new approach to stress testing Community Resilience Plans across three communities in the Highlands. The process uses realistic, scenario based exercises to activate and test an existing plan, helping communities understand how it holds up under pressure and where it might be strengthened.

Who can take part?

To take part, your community group must have a completed Community Resilience Plan in place. The process is designed to test and build on existing plans community resilience plans.

What to expect

The Hub will host informal, facilitated workshops of approximately two hours. Facilitators from the Hub will guide your group through the process. Communities can expect to:

  • Work through a scenario tailored to your local area and risks

  • Identify gaps or areas for development in a structured, supportive setting

  • Come away with practical insights to strengthen your existing plan

Feedback on the model

The Highlands & Islands Climate Hub is also looking to gather feedback on how the model works in practice. Your group's input will help shape how this approach develops for communities across the Highlands.
