To get familiar with a snapshot of our members, we recommend spending 28 minutes watching the award-winning Climate Action: Highlands and Islands film, produced in 2023. The film tells the story of 10 inspiring members as they showcase why the region is such a special place for taking action on climate change. Read more about the project as a whole here.

For those based in Highland, a straightforward way to take immediate climate action is to sign the Highland Charter for Climate, Nature and Health. The Charter is a pledge to put climate, nature and the benefits of green and blue health at the centre of decision making and action, so that the natural environment and people have improved health, wealth and resilience.

The Highland Repair Directory and the Orkney Circular Economy Network highlight projects, organisations and businesses that are actively reducing items being put to landfil.

The Highlands and Islands Climate Collective is an exclusive network of people aged between 16 & 30 with an interest in climate action and sustainable careers.

We create a quarterly newsletter with hand picked opportunities to send direct to these young people to let them know where they can get involved in their areas and in wider Scotland.

If your organisation supports young people, or would like to work more closely with young people, please reach out to us to learn how best to achieve that through the Highlands and Islands Climate Collective.
