Lairg & District Learning Centre are delighted to be hosting a screening of The Dreaming Bog as part of the Climate Fringe Festival 2022.
THE DREAMING BOG is an ecopoetic story on Climate Change told through the lens of the Bogs & Peatlands of Northern Scotland and the Mires & Swamps of Finland. The film is based on the opening act of an epic new poem by Caithness Makar, George Gunn, ’Six Thousand Years of Sunlight’, and was produced by Sutherland born filmmaker, Robert Aitken.
The film draws the viewer into the poetry of place, to engage with our environment at a more emotional level and seeks to seed a new wave of discussion on Climate Change where humans are placed back into the heart and narrative of nature.
The evening will feature a panel discussion and open audience Q&A as well as the film screening.
