Who is this event for?
Public and third sector business advisors and development agency officers who work with community groups and who are:
new in post and keen to learn about the basics of Scottish community business support landscape or;
already working with community groups but keen for an update on current support available
About this event:
This one day introductory event is being run by Community Shares Scotland, Plunkett Foundation and Co-operative Development Scotland and will give advisors a high level overview of the community business model - with examples from across Scotland of these businesses successfully addressing the needs of their communities.
Learn more about the community business landscape in Scotland, including sessions exploring governance, community engagement and finance. Plus, how to access the available support packages and knowledge of others to ensure the groups you work with have the tools and support they need.

Midsteeple Quarter is a 10 minute walk from Dumfries train station. If you are driving there's free parking available in two places within easy walking distance of Midsteeple Quarter - The Whitesands: DG1 2QN, and Brooms Road, where is often easier to find a space: DG1 2JE.
