Circular Communities Scotland Annual Conference 2022

  • North Highland & Islands Climate Hub 1 Rotterdam Street Thurso, Scotland, KW14 8AA United Kingdom (map)

Circular Communities Scotland is delighted to invite our members, supporter members, and those involved in the circular third sector in Scotland to our 2022 Annual Conference ‘Circular Solutions; Supporting Communities’.

This will be the first in person conference in two years, hosted at the Radisson BLU in Glasgow, and will be an amazing opportunity for the sector to come together again in one space, to reconnect with one another and network. The team and board are so excited to see members together again. Don’t miss out, book your ticket today!

Social and environmental justice are two sides of the same coin, and we’re looking forward to exploring and celebrating this at our conference this year.

Our theme, ‘Circular Solutions; Supporting Communities’, focuses on the crucial social and environmental impacts our members have in their communities, who are working to survive and thrive under the cost of living and climate crises.

Whilst circular social enterprises and charities benefit the planet through reuse, repair and recycling, they also benefit community members by providing low-cost alternatives to buying new, volunteering, employment and local economic opportunities. Now, our members impact is more important than ever, acting as a crucial lifeline to individuals, families and communities across Scotland.

What’s more, climate change can disproportionately impact those in lower income communities and countries. By working to embed a circular economy in Scotland, we can lead by example, championing a greener, fairer world for all.

As always, the doors will be open to Circular Communities Scotland members, supporter members, and those involved in the circular third sector in Scotland.

The team are delighted to announce they’ll welcome back host, Heather Reid OBE this year, and as always, they have an exciting line up of industry speakers and expert keynotes, including The Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity Ms. Lorna Slater, with diverse and engaging breakout sessions, and lots of opportunities to network and speak to exhibitors. The event programme will be launched shortly.
